Worked with Verizon Wireless on their nationwide educational initiative that challenged middle and high school students to develop mobile app concepts that address issues in their school or community. My efforts elevated the importance of STEM and teaching students how to think about and confront real-world problems by generating top-tier media coverage in The Washington Post’s KidsPost, Education Week, ABC News, WTOP , and The Baltimore Sun. Also conducted media tours to showcase how Verizon Wireless’ donation of mobile technology helps students in underserved schools improve academic achievement and conquer the college admission process. Generated dozens of placements, including the top morning live shot on the Baltimore ABC affiliate and on WAMU.
