Nancy Neill is a Washington DC-based media consultant with more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing high-impact communications strategies and campaigns. Her clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies, to small to mid-sized businesses, to non-profit organizations, to associations across a wide range of industries.
She specializes in media relations and has extensive experience that allows her to effectively pitch and place stories that enhance client brand and reinforce their marketing and public positioning goals. Depending on client needs, she works independently or as part of a larger team — often collaborating with a seasoned roster of fellow communications consultants with expertise in areas such as public relations, crisis communications, media training, event production, social media and more.
This type of engagement allows for client engagements that are highly tailored, personalized, attentive, collaborative and cost-effective. When working with Nancy and her partners, you never get handed down to the junior associate once the contract is signed. You get a responsive team of communications and public relations professionals with decades of experience working in agencies, for news outlets, in private sector communications shops, or on the Hill.
Nancy started her career at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. She went on to serve as National Press Secretary at the public-private Welfare to Work Partnership, where she worked with federal, state and local policy makers and executives from Fortune 500 companies to generate awareness and support for welfare reform. Before going into consulting full time in 2010, she was a Senior Account Director at communications agency Brodeur Partners, providing media and PR services for American Express, BlackBerry, IBM and Orbitz.
Nancy lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, three kids, and her dog Shep.
